Building work for the new Harbour Way road outside Fairwood Holdings has started – creating access and opportunities to work with new customers
Fairwood Holdings are lucky enough to be situated right alongside the site of the new Harbour Way Project. Harbour Way is the largest transport project to be supported by ERDF Convergence programme in Wales and will provide a 4.8km link to the M4 at junction 38 into Port Talbot and the docks, serving as a vital link to West Wales, the UK motorway network, the trunk road network and mainland Europe. Funding is made up of £56.2m from the Convergence European Regional Development Fund and £50.7m Transport Grant from the Welsh Assembly Government. It will create up to 600 jobs during the 33 month construction phase.
This is great news for Fairwood Holdings as the new road will provide an attractive gateway to the town and open up more opportunities as the investment will improve journey times, reduce congestion, encourage further investment, access to jobs and regeneration in the South West Wales region.
