Pink Day 2011

All staff at Fairwood Fabrications Ltd wore pink to work for Pink Friday which took place on 18th November in aid of Breast Cancer Care.
As well as donating £2 each to wear pink, there was a Bake Off which saw staff bake cupcakes, plate pasties and welsh cakes to name just a few. All entries were marked on taste, appearance and creativity by our panel of three judges, but there was a clear winner ‘Jan Stephens’ with her variety of gorgeous cupcakes. A big well done to Jan

There was also a competition to guess how many sweets were in the jar, which caused lots of debate among staff. Howard Webb was the winner and took the jar of sweets home as his prize.
Breast Cancer Care is a national charity raising money for people affected by breast cancer. They combine the personal experiences of people affected by breast cancer with clinical expertise to provide information, emotional support and to promote the importance of early detection.
Every year over 50,000 people hear the devastating words “you have breast cancer” so every penny donated really does count.
